Overview

Sound healing is using instruments or voices to improve physical and emotional well-being. It dates back thousands of years and has many forms worldwide. In ancient Chinese culture, they knew the healing properties of sound, and the word "medicine" originates from the word "sound."

Red Cliffs offers a weekly sound healing experience with Ancient Himalayan Singing Bowls and the Native American Drum.  Ancient singing bowls come from all over the Himalayas, and the practice of using them dates back thousands of years to the Bon religion.  Native Americans have also been using drums to assist in meditation and healing for centuries.  Combined, they create a very powerful healing technique.

Little is known about the use of these tools from ancient cultures, but what has been discovered about them is that they bring the body into balance. Having come from a spiritual practice, the bowls contain prayers from the makers who created them. Metals were collected from the mountains and then smelted into a flat disk. Then, as the disk was hammered into a bowl, the blacksmiths recited chants and prayers for healing and support.

Every cell in our body resonates at a specific frequency. When this frequency gets out of tune, we start developing problems that usually start with our emotional well-being and affect our physical well-being later on. When we use the bowls with an intention, they aid us in fulfilling that intention, whether physical, emotional, spiritual healing or needing guidance in life. The bowls can guide you into the space you create for yourself.

Let's say you just had a wild ride on Hell's Revenge and are still shaken up or feeling beaten up from a Bronco or ATV tour.  Come relax and let your shaken-up self be soothed back to feeling calm and relaxed by sound healer Jordan Weisenburger.

This 30-minute sound healing, intention setting, and meditation will be held weekly.  Attendees should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle and a towel.  Mats will be provided.  Space is limited.  You must be pre-registered.
